Here we share some observations about and snapshots of the Passive House we had built in Oakland County, Michigan. All photographs were taken by us unless otherwise noted.

Framing components, pre-constructed by Pageant Homes, were delivered today. Work on the critical junction between the foundation walls and the framed walls was begun.

Bright yellow 10 mm thick plastic was draped from between the top of the basement wall and the base of the first floor walls. This will later be folded up and taped to a vapor barrier that will be draped from the top of the first floor walls. It will serve to dramatically reduce air infiltration, particularly around windows.
